Hola. Mi nombre es Antonio y he pasado un par de semanas en el Hospedaje Colonal, en la Ciudad Vieja de Montevideo.

Era mi primera vez en América del Sur y debo decir que yo no podía haber encontrado un mejor lugar para empezar mi viaje.

En el Hospedaje, se encuentran personas de diferentes edades, culturas y nacionalidades. Me gustó mucho esta diversidad.

El Hospedaje se encuentra en el corazón del casco antiguo de la ciudad y por lo tanto hay un gran número de restaurantes tradicionales, bares, etc.

También hay supermercados, peluquería, lavandería, todo está cerca del Hospedaje y todas las personas en la zona son muy agradables, amables y servicialesl.

Durante el día, está presente la policía turística por lo que el lugar es seguro ... en la noche, como en cualquier ciudad, hay que tener cuidado.

Lo que más disfruté sobre el Hospedaje es el servicio que se ofrecen .... el gerente (Hebert) y el propietario (Guillermo) son muy amables, confiables y serviciales. Ellos realmente se esfuerzan por hacer que sus huéspedes disfruten de su estancia en Montevideo.




Si no conozces a nadie en la ciudad, durante los primeros días ellos tratan de presentarte a varfias personas. Ofrecen un servicio que va más allá de la que puedes encontrar en un hotel.

En el momento en que pones el pie en el Hospedaje Colonial, pasas a formar parte de la familia. Ellos siempre están allí para ayudarte en cualquier momento del día o la noche.

El lugar se mantiene limpio todos los días, las habitaciones son bastante cómodas (algunas de ellas con televisión y frigobar), no hay riesgo de robo.

También es muy importante que dispones de conexión Wi-Fi gratuito a Internet y funciona muy bien ..... es un muy buen dinero para el sitio de valor en Montevideo.

El lugar no es caro, incluso para los precios estándares uruguayos. Y todos los días lo están mejorando (pintura, renovación, etc.).

El Río de la Plata está muy cerca del Hsopedaje y es agradable caminar o trotar a lo largo de La Rambla durante el fin de semana.

Para concluir, diría que yo no podría haber encontrado un mejor lugar para comenzar mi experiencia de América del Sur. Y si alguna vez regreso a Uruguay, definitivamente eligiré al el Hospedaje Colonial de nuevo. Siempre será como mi segunda casa.


English: Hi. My name is Antoine and I have spent a couple of weeks in the Hospedaje colonial, in la Ciudad Vieja of Montevideo.
 
It was my first time in South America and I must say that I could not find a better place to start my trip.  Inside the hospedaje, you will find people from various ages, backgrounds and nationalities. I really enjoyed such a diversity.
 
The Hospedaje is at the heart of the old town and therefore there are a large number of traditional restaurants, bars, etc.
 
There are also supermarkets, hair-dresser, laundry, everything is closeby and everyone in the area is very nice, friendly and helpful.
 
During the day, there is the touristic police so the place is safe... In the night, like in any cities, you have to be careful.
 
What I enjoyed the most about the Hospedaje is the service offered.... the Manager (Hebert) and the Owner (Guillermo) are very accomodative, polite, reliable and helpful.
They really try hard to make their guest enjoy their stay in Montevideo to the fullest.
 
If you don't know anyone in town, they will the very first days try to introduce you to anyone. They just offer a service that goes beyond the one that you can find in a Hotel.
 
The minute you step your foot in the Hospedaje, you just become part of the  family.  They will always be there for you at any time of the day or the night.
 
The place is kept clean every day, the rooms are comfortable enough (some of them with TV and fridge), there is no risk of theft.
 
Also very important, the WiFi connection is free and working very well..... it is a very good money for value site in Montevideo.  The place is really not expensive as per Uruguayans standards.
 
And they are every day busy upgranding him (painting, renovation, etc.). The river is closeby and it is nice walking or jogging along La rambla during the week end.
 
To conclude, I would say that I could not have found a better place to start my South American experience.  And if I ever go back to Uruguay, I will definately choose that place again.... It will always be like my second home.
